About
Back in the early 90’s when I was a teenager, a bedroom studio consisted of a guitar, a keyboard, a couple of mics and a piece of crap 4 track recorder, which produced such underwhelming results that you wanted to pack in making music altogether. A day in a ‘proper’ studio cost the best part of 2 months wages; producing a song that only sounded marginally better than the 4 track…..
Then in the early 2000s’ a new breed of software and faster computers finally gave musicians’ the tools to start producing release quality tracks. Not only that but the advent of the internet, finally meant that it was possible to get those same tracks out to the public without having to sell your soul for a record contract.
BedroomMusician.com is for all those people who have rediscovered the joy of making music from their bedroom. As well as reviewing all the latest gear, there’ll be ‘how to tutorials’ on setting up a bedroom studio, tips and tricks on getting the most from your gear and promoting your tracks on the internet.
